Semester Abroad

Gain international experience abroad in the Master's in Finance

International peculiarities of the finance world

All ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Master programmes include anÌýintegrated semester abroad, including Master Finance. After two semesters at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½, you will spend the third semester at an ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ partner university. You canÌýchoose your partner university from a network of 30 universities.

The semester abroad will deepen your subject-specific knowledge. You will also set individual priorities and get to know the intercultural peculiarities of the chosen cultural area. At the same time, you will perfect your language skills.

Financing your semester abroad

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ students can apply for a variety of scholarships and grants for their compulsory semester or internship abroad. Some examples include the Erasmus+ program, Feline Holidays scholarship or different DAAD programs. The International Office is available to help with the application and counselling regarding these financing options.

Fast Track: On the Fast Lane

When you choose the optionÌý"Fast Track" the semester abroad is omitted and you shorten your internship period. This allows you to complete your master in finance in only 3 semestersÌýand withÌý90 ECTS. Prerequisite: you bringÌý210 ECTSÌýfrom your Bachelor (an alternative admission to Fast Track is possible via demonstrated work experience or by taking the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Pre-Master). My semester abroad at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½

The obligatory stay abroad is certainly something from which I still profit from today. Not so much because of the teaching content but because of my own development abroad, I have matured personally and have learned to take a more differentiated look at problems. This experience is certainly not universally transferable and applicable, but ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ offers a wide range of foreign partners, so that you can decide almost indefinitely which culture you would like to get to know.
